Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CroSwordS handles information when you use the mobile app.

Summary

The current production version of CroSwordS is designed to operate in offline/local mode.

In the current production build:

• the app does not require account creation
• the app does not include advertising SDKs
• the app does not include analytics SDKs
• the app does not include crash reporting SDKs
• the app does not use in-app purchases or subscriptions
• the app does not collect or transmit personal information to our servers during normal offline/local gameplay

Information Stored on Your Device

CroSwordS stores some information locally on your device so the app can function properly. This may include:

• app preferences, such as selected dictionary and tutorial completion state
• local gameplay state and game settings
• locally generated challenge or share codes
• local stats or progress related to offline play

This local data stays on your device unless you choose to remove the app or clear app data.

Clipboard Access

The app may read text currently stored on your device clipboard in order to detect a CroSwordS challenge code, response code, result code, or similar game code and help you import it more easily.

This clipboard check is performed locally on your device. Clipboard contents are not transmitted to us as part of the current production build's normal offline/local gameplay flow.

The app may also copy game codes to your clipboard when you choose to share or export them.

Information We Do Not Collect in the Current Production Build

In the current production build, CroSwordS does not collect or transmit the following during normal offline/local use:

• your name
• your email address
• your phone number
• your contacts
• your precise location
• your photos, files, or messages
• payment information
• advertising identifiers for ad targeting

Network Features

The current production build of CroSwordS is configured with server-backed features disabled.

That means the production build submitted to Google Play does not normally send gameplay, login, friend, or matchmaking data to a backend service.

If a future version enables online features, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those features are released.

Optional Device Features

The app may provide device-assisted actions such as copying text or opening your SMS composer to share a challenge code. These actions are initiated by you.

CroSwordS does not read your SMS messages or contacts as part of these actions.

Notifications

The current production build does not use push notification services.

If a future version adds notifications, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Children

CroSwordS is not directed to children under 13 as a standalone child-focused service. If this changes in a future release, the privacy disclosures and age-targeting settings will be updated accordingly.

Data Retention

Because the current production build primarily stores data locally on your device, data is generally retained until:

• you delete it in the app, if that option is provided
• you clear app storage
• or you uninstall the app

Security

We aim to reduce unnecessary data collection and keep the current production build limited to local/offline functionality. However, no method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
